54 pages. Dozens of machines. Hundreds of specs. One catalogue that actually makes sense.

GEI is my family's business. It started as a small electrical shop back in 1951 and has been building commercial laundry machines since 1991. They had a full product line but no single catalogue to show it. So that became the job: take our entire range, from washer extractors to saree polishing machines, and turn it into one clean, print-ready book. The brand and logo already existed. Everything you see across these 54 pages, I designed solo.

The real problem: dense data

The real problem: dense data

The hard part of this project was the data. A hundred pages of it. Every machine came with its own spec sheet, RPM, drum sizes, motor power, heating options, dimensions, weight, across dozens of models and variants. Left raw, that's a wall of numbers nobody wants to read. My job was to make it scannable: a consistent table system, a clear hierarchy, and a layout rhythm that lets a buyer find what they need without hunting for it.

One system, 54 pages

The catalogue only works if it feels like one book, not fifty loose pages. Same grid, same table styling, same blue system, same rhythm of hero page then specs, repeated all the way through. Consistency at this length is the design.

The story pages

The story pages

A company this old has history worth showing. So alongside the spec sheets, I built the narrative pages, the journey timeline, the founder tribute, the "today" spread, so the book opens with warmth before it gets into the numbers.

A 54-page catalogue for my family's company, with roots going back to 1951 and three decades of building laundry machines, designed solo from the first cover to the last spec table, and taken all the way to print. There was something special about putting this skill to work for the business my family built.
